Florida Hospital New Smyrna Recognizes Staff Member

NEW SMYRNA BEACH, Fla., October 11, 2018 – Florida Hospital New Smyrna recognized Trey Gugliara, a staff member in internal medicine physician Dr. Kimberly Keller’s office at the Florida Hospital New Smyrna Health Park, with the Starfish Award. This award recognizes employees that are not nurses, but still provide impactful, compassionate patient care.

Gugliara was nominated by a Chris Miller, practice manager for Florida Hospital HealthCare Partners, the employed group of primary care physicians and specialists for the Florida Hospitals in Volusia and Flagler counties.

Miller recounted a time when Uber had mistakenly dropped-off a family at the outpatient facility’s front entrance, instead of Florida Hospital New Smyrna which was four miles away. Read more…

Girl Scout Donates Pillows for Cancer Patients at Florida Hospital Flagler

PALM COAST, Fla., October 5, 2018 — To help cancer patients, Cadette Girl Scout Katelynne Parker handmade pillows and seatbelt covers to cushion the sensitive areas where cancer patients may have ports for their on-going treatments.

A Palm Coast resident, freshman at Flagler Palm Coast High School, and member of Girl Scout Troop #215, Parker gifted these items to Florida Hospital Flagler for cancer patients who visit the hospital’s Judith C. Macko Cancer Resource Center. Read more…

Florida Hospital Flagler Partners with Ford Dealership for Breast Cancer Awareness Month

PALM COAST, Fla., October 4, 2018 — To support Florida Hospital Flagler’s fight against breast cancer, Palm Coast Ford will donate $50 to the hospital’s Foundation for each car sold during the month of October.

Proceeds from the initiative will be used to help Florida Hospital Flagler provide education and screenings for breast cancer. Read more…
