Florida Hospital Memorial Medical Center Names Executive Director of Clinical Effectiveness

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla., October 2, 2017 – Florida Hospital Memorial Medical Center has selected Amy Seymour to serve as executive director of clinical effectiveness.

In this role, Seymour will oversee the hospital’s performance improvement, infection control, risk management, and education departments. She will be responsible for surveys from external agencies, including The Joint Commission and American Health Care Act.

Seymour has more than 30 years of nursing leadership experience and has been with Florida Hospital for two years. She most recently served as director of inpatient services at Florida Hospital Memorial Medical Center and was responsible for providing leadership to the intensive care unit (ICU), surgical progressive care unit and the surgical unit.

An Ormond Beach resident, she received a Master of Science in Nursing from Drexel University in Philadelphia, Pa. In addition, she earned the Nurse Executive Advanced-Board Certified credential from the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
